Returns and Refunds Policy — Valiplia
Version of November 6, 2026
This policy describes the terms and conditions applicable to returns, withdrawals, possible exchanges, refunds, and complaints regarding travel accessories purchased from Valiplia. It is primarily intended for consumers making a purchase remotely. It supplements the General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTC) without limiting the mandatory rights provided for by French law, in particular Articles L. 221-18 to L. 221-28 and L. 217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code.
1. Summary of Essential Rights
- 14 days to withdraw: in principle, from the date you receive your order, without having to justify your decision, for items covered by the statutory right of withdrawal.
- An additional 14 days to ship the return: from the date you communicate your decision to withdraw, unless the seller arranges for the goods to be collected.
- Refund: in principle within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal request, with the legal option to defer the refund until the goods are returned or proof of shipment is provided.
- Direct return costs for a simple change of mind: at your expense when this information was provided to you before purchase, unless Valiplia states that it will cover them.
- Defective or non-compliant product: statutory warranties apply regardless of the withdrawal period, with free rectification in accordance with legal conditions.
These rules are detailed below. They do not create any additional costs or conditions not provided for by law.
2. Seller Identity and Contact Details
Trading name: Valiplia — sole proprietorship (EI).
SIRET: 853 889 392 00033.
Contact and return address provided by the seller: 117 avenue Henri Barbusse, 93150 Le Blanc-Mesnil, France.
Email: contact@valiplia.fr.
The exact first and last name of the sole trader will be indicated in the legal notices after confirmation. Withdrawal, return, and warranty requests can be sent to the contact details above without the obligation to create a customer account.
3. Which Products Are Covered?
The statutory right of withdrawal generally applies to standard items offered by Valiplia, such as compression bags, Oxford bags, organizers and suitcase cubes, covers, shoe bags, and accessory sets. Their textile nature, their packaging as a set, and the fact that they were purchased on sale or that the packaging has been opened do not automatically exclude them from the right of withdrawal.
Exceptions only apply when they genuinely correspond to the cases provided for in Article L. 221-28 of the French Consumer Code. These may include, for example, goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalized, or unsealed goods that cannot be returned for reasons of hygiene or health protection. Valiplia standard bags and organizers are not considered excluded in principle. Any specific exclusion must be clearly indicated before purchase and justified by the facts.
For a set, when the right applies to the entire set sold contractually, the return terms are those corresponding to the goods covered by the exercise of this right. A request concerning only part of the products in an order will be examined in accordance with the actual composition of the order and the applicable rules.
4. Starting Point and Calculation of the 14 Days
In accordance with Article L. 221-18 of the French Consumer Code, the statutory withdrawal period for a remote purchase of goods is 14 days from the physical receipt of the goods by yourself or a third party designated by you, other than the carrier. The day of receipt is not included in the calculation. If the end of the period falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday, it is postponed in accordance with legal rules to the next business day.
If several goods from the same order are delivered separately, or if one good includes several sets or parts delivered separately, the starting point is determined by the applicable rules, in principle from the receipt of the last good, set, or part. It is also possible to announce a withdrawal after the conclusion of the contract and before the receipt of the product.
When the seller has not provided the legal information on the right of withdrawal, the period may be extended in accordance with Article L. 221-20 of the French Consumer Code; the 14 days do not therefore necessarily constitute the final deadline.
5. How to Exercise Your Right of Withdrawal?
You can notify your decision before the period expires by a clear and unambiguous statement, without having to provide a reason or necessarily use the standard form. Several methods are possible:
- by email to contact@valiplia.fr, stating that you are withdrawing from the purchase concerned;
- by mail to Valiplia, 117 avenue Henri Barbusse, 93150 Le Blanc-Mesnil, France;
- using the withdrawal form model at the bottom of the page, if you wish;
- using the electronic withdrawal feature that must be accessible on the online sales interface in accordance with Article L. 221-21 of the French Consumer Code since June 19, 2026, when it is made available on the site.
To make it easier to identify your purchase, you can mention your order number, your name, the item concerned, and a return address. These practical elements must not become abusive obstacles to a validly formulated withdrawal. It is advisable to keep a dated copy of your request.
Information specific to the 2026 regulations: sales concluded on an online interface must have a free withdrawal feature, with easy, direct, and permanent access during the legal period. This obligation exists independently of the right to notify the withdrawal by email or mail. The actual operation of this feature and the acknowledgment of receipt on a durable medium must still be verified on Valiplia; this page must not be interpreted as proof that they are already operational.
6. Where and When to Return Your Products?
After notifying your decision to withdraw, you generally have an additional period of 14 days to return or restitute the items, unless Valiplia offers to collect them. You comply with this period by shipping the goods before its expiration. The request for prior authorization, the obtaining of a return number, or the use of a specific label are not additional conditions likely to nullify the statutory right of withdrawal.
Valiplia Return Address:
Valiplia — Returns
117 avenue Henri Barbusse
93150 Le Blanc-Mesnil
FRANCE
It is recommended, without any legal obligation to take out a special option, to use a shipping method that allows you to keep proof of shipment. You can attach your order number or a copy of the order confirmation to facilitate the matching of the package and the request. Do not include bank card data in the package.
If Valiplia indicates a specific logistics method or offers collection at its expense, it must remain compatible with your legal rights. The address above is the one communicated and retained by the seller for the receipt of returns.
7. Who Pays the Return Costs?
Return after a change of mind under the right of withdrawal: the direct return costs are normally borne by the consumer when they have been properly informed before the conclusion of the order, in accordance with Article L. 221-23 of the French Consumer Code, unless the seller announces or agrees to cover them. The amount depends on the carrier, the weight, the volume, and the chosen shipping method; no fixed rate can be announced without a precisely identified service.
Non-compliant or defective item covered by the statutory warranty: the costs necessary for rectification cannot be charged to the consumer when the law requires free repair or replacement. The corresponding return and refund terms are those of the legal warranty regime, and not those of a simple change of mind.
In the event of a shipping error attributable to the seller, customer service will arrange a solution in accordance with contractual and legal obligations, without charging the customer costs resulting from an error for which they are not responsible.
8. In What Condition Can the Product Be Returned?
You are authorized to examine and handle the product to the extent necessary to determine its nature, characteristics, and proper functioning, as you could reasonably do in a store. Opening a package or checking the item does not automatically remove your statutory right of withdrawal.
Under Article L. 221-23 of the French Consumer Code, a depreciation can be charged to the consumer only if it results from handling other than that necessary to determine the nature, characteristics, and proper functioning of the goods, and provided that the legal information on withdrawal has been provided to them. A deduction cannot be automatic, flat-rate, or disproportionate.
To protect the product during transport, please pack it carefully, ideally with its accessories and elements included in the sale. The absence of the original packaging in perfect condition cannot, on its own, deprive the consumer of a statutory right. The rules of statutory warranties remain applicable to defective items, even when they have been normally used.
9. What Amount Is Refunded?
In the event of a valid withdrawal covering an entire order, the seller refunds the price actually paid for the returned products, including any applied discounts, as well as the initial delivery costs up to the cost of the least expensive standard delivery method offered. The additional costs resulting from a more expensive express delivery method expressly chosen by the customer are not refundable under the right of withdrawal under the conditions provided for in Article L. 221-24.
For a withdrawal covering only certain products in an order, the refund covers the products concerned and any delivery costs that may be refundable according to the rules applicable to this partial withdrawal; no unjustified general deduction of shipping costs is practiced.
An owed refund cannot be imposed in the form of a store credit, credit note, or promotional code instead of the legally provided payment method. Any promotional gifts or benefits attached to an order are treated according to the terms of the offer communicated at purchase, without derogating from consumer rights.
10. When and How Does the Refund Occur?
The refund must occur without unjustified delay and no later than 14 days after the date the seller is informed of the withdrawal decision. For a sale of goods, unless the seller offers to collect the items, they may defer the refund until receipt of the goods or until proof of their shipment is provided, whichever of these two dates comes first.
The refund is made by the same payment method used for the initial transaction, unless there is express agreement for another method that generates no costs for the consumer. The technical display times on the customer's account may depend on the banking institution, without changing the legal obligations incumbent on the seller.
If the refund is delayed beyond the legal deadlines, the consumer can exercise the available remedies and request, if applicable, the surcharges provided for by the applicable provisions.
11. Damaged, Incorrect, Incomplete, or Non-Compliant Product: Statutory Warranties
An item that arrives damaged, does not correspond to the order, or has a non-conformity is not simply a "return of convenience." In these situations, the consumer benefits in particular from the statutory warranty of conformity, provided for in Articles L. 217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, for two years from delivery for covered defects.
The consumer can request the repair or replacement of the goods according to the conditions provided by law, free of charge and without major inconvenience. The seller may, in legally provided cases, choose the other mode of rectification if the consumer's choice is impossible or entails disproportionate costs. When the legal conditions are met, a price reduction or the rescission of the sale with a refund may be requested.
The additional deadlines and warranties provided by law, in particular extensions related to certain repairs or replacements, apply. The consumer can also invoke, if they meet the conditions, the warranty against hidden defects provided for in Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code.
To report a problem, contact contact@valiplia.fr specifying the order and the observed defect; photographs can help understand the situation, without being a systematic condition for accessing statutory rights. The seller will explain the terms of coverage and, when required, free return. No 24- or 48-hour complaint deadline excludes these statutory warranties.
12. Package Not Received, Delay, Loss, or Damage During Transport
If a package is not received, is lost, or arrives damaged, the customer can contact Valiplia, providing, when possible, the order number and tracking information. When the carrier was proposed by the seller, the legal rules on the transfer of risk continue to apply: the mere mention of "delivered" in tracking is not sufficient to automatically remove the seller's responsibilities.
In the event of a delay, non-delivery, or non-performance, the consumer has the legal remedies of formal notice, contract rescission, and refund according to Articles L. 216-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code. These situations are distinct from the right of withdrawal, even if a request for cancellation or refund can be made depending on the circumstances.
Any reservations made with the carrier can facilitate the case, but the absence of reservations does not remove the seller's statutory warranties.
13. Exchange or Replacement for Personal Convenience
Outside of statutory warranties, Valiplia does not guarantee an automatic commercial exchange service for another color, size, or reference. A possible exchange may be offered on a case-by-case basis according to available stock and agreed conditions. When the right of withdrawal applies, the customer can exercise it and place a new order for the desired model without a prior exchange being imposed.
14. Cancellation of an Order Before Shipment
If you wish to cancel an order before its shipment, contact Valiplia as soon as possible. The physical possibility of interrupting preparation or shipment depends on the progress of the order. The processing of a commercial cancellation request does not affect the right of withdrawal applicable to remote purchases, nor the other legal causes of cancellation or contract rescission.
15. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
For any request for return, refund, warranty, or complaint: contact@valiplia.fr or by mail to Valiplia, 117 avenue Henri Barbusse, 93150 Le Blanc-Mesnil. The consumer can refer the matter to the consumer mediator designated by the seller under the conditions provided by the French Consumer Code; their identity and contact details must be communicated in the GTC after confirmation of the seller's effective membership.
This policy is interpreted with the Valiplia GTC. No provision can restrict the mandatory rights resulting from French law and other applicable protective provisions.
16. Standard Withdrawal Form
Use this model only if you wish to withdraw. It is optional: a clear statement by email or mail is sufficient to notify your decision according to the legal conditions.
